    Volunteer for Thanksgiving Dinner Now

    (Rockford, IL) Court Street UMC's annual free Thanksgiving Day Dinner will be Thursday, November 22, 2018, at Court Street United Methodist Church at 215 North Court St. We ask you to share this information with the homeless, hungry, or lonely persons in your community. Many volunteers from the Rockford area serve dinner to hundreds of people every year. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone attending to share the many Blessings of Thanksgiving with others for a sit down dinner in a peaceful, prayerful environment. Once again music will be provided for everyone’s enjoyment. Serving time is 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.     JuBellation to Participate in ECHO Workshop/Worship

    (Rockford, IL) Court Street UMC's handbell choir, JuBellation, will participate in the Workshop and Worship Service presented by The Ecumenical Community Handbell Organization (ECHO) at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2821 N. Bell School Rd. The workshop begins in the morning on Saturday, October 20, and runs through 3:30. The worship service, which is open to the public, begins at 4:30 p.m. with a free-will offering to benefit Westminster Presbyterian Church.     'Once on This Island Jr.' comes to Court Street!

    (Rockford, IL) 'Once on this Island Jr,' a musical full of great storytelling and brilliantly crafted music by the composers of SCHOOLHOUSE ROCK, will be the production produced by the third annual Court Street United Methodist Church Fine Arts Camp.
    The script is an adaptation of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND which won this year’s Broadway Tony award for Best Musical Revival. The show includes elements of the Romeo and Juliet story and elements of the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale, 'The Little Mermaid.' It concerns a peasant girl on a tropical island, who uses the power of love to bring together people of different social classes.
    Plan now to support our Performing Arts Camp Youth by attending one of these performances of ‘Once On This Island Jr.’ for only $10 each/$5 student:
    Friday - August 3 - 7:00 p.m.
    Saturday - August 4 - 2:00 p.m.
    Sunday - August 5 - 2:00 p.m.
