2015 Praisin' & Prayin' Puppet Project begins August 10
Date: Monday, 10 August, 2015 - Monday, 10 August, 2015
Time: 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Children love puppets and their magic will be on display during Court Street United Church’s annual “Praisin' and Prayin' Puppet Project”, running August 10th through the 14th.
“There is just something about puppets that attracts almost any child,” pointed out Court Street’s James Crow, the director of this year's puppet project. “By attending this workshop, kids will get the chance to not only have fun and learn how to put on a show with puppets, but also how they can be used to spread the word of God in a fun and entertaining way.”
The “Praisin' and Prayin' Puppet Project" is open to any child from 1st to 8th grades. The registration cost is $10 dollars per student and scholarships are available if needed. The registration deadline takes place July 26th.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for kids to have a great time while learning how entertaining and educational puppets can be,” noted James Crow. “Last year the children who attended really enjoyed themselves while also learning many inspirational lessons about Jesus and the role he plays in all of our lives.”
The workshop will run from 9:00 am to 11:30 am Monday through Friday, and will conclude with a live performance Sunday, August 16th,10 am, at the church. To register, please call Court Street United Methodist Church at 815-962-6061, or stop by the church’s office at 215 North Court Street in downtown Rockford.
