CROP Walk 2016
Date: Sunday, 16 October, 2016 - Sunday, 16 October, 2016
Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Join us physically, monetarily, and/or spiritually as we participate in the annual CROP (Community Responding to Overcome Poverty) Walk for the Rockford area. This is an interfaith event that builds community while making a difference locally and globally.
In the last 25 years, CROP Hunger Walks have raised more than $300 million to help people struggling to feed their families -- both around the world and around the corner. Up to 25% of the funds raised benefit the community where the walk takes place, by supporting local food banks, pantries, community gardens and other hunger-fighting initiatives.
You may register online at crophungerwalk.org or you may contact Verlette Gorman (815-636-0514) or Ryanne Ludington (815-985-4260) to sponsor or walk.
To walk, we will meet at Riverfront Museum Park, 711 North Main St., at 1pm to register with Step-off at 2pm. You walk at your own pace - the total walk is 4 miles. All are welcome!
