    (Rockford, IL) Court Street will be celebrating Christ's birth and his bringing hope into the world on Sunday, December 24th, at three different worship services. Everyone is welcome to come to all three. The first worship is at 10:00 a.m. The second worship is at 4:00 p.m. and is family oriented, but open to all - the message is for everyone! The third worship is at 9:30 p.m. and will feature a string quartet along with Chancel Choir and candlelight.     'A Charlie Brown Christmas' to be Presented

    (Rockford, IL) A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS will be staged by Court Street’s FINE ARTS SATURDAY TROUPE (FAST). This 45 minute presentation is a musical version of the highly rated annual TV special which was first broadcast on December 9, 1965. In the production Charlie Brown is feeling depressed because of the commercialism of Christmas. Through directing the Christmas pageant and with the help of Linus, Charlie Brown discovers the true meaning of Christmas.

    The production is being staged by James L. Crow with musical direction by Jack Armstrong, and features a cast of 15 middle and elementary school age performers. Performances are Friday, December 8, at 7:00 pm, Saturday, December 9, at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm, and Sunday, December 10, at 10 am and 2:00 pm.

    All performances will be in the seasonally decorated sanctuary of Court Street United Methodist Church at 215 North Court Street. Admission for each performance is $5.00 per person. Children under 5 are free. For further information call 815-962-6061.…

Meeting each Sunday, from Nov. 26th through Dec. 17, choose between 11:30 a.m. in the Church Parlor or 3:30 p.m. at 5772 Pepper Dr. We encourage everyone to join a group to study together as we always learn a new insight from someone else. But, if you find you're unable to attend either time, you can still read the book on your own - there are study questions you can do in the back of the book to help increase your understanding!     Volunteer to Help with Trunk or Treat!

    The Family Christian Education Ministry Team, Jeremiah Development and the Coronado Haskell Neighborhood Association will be partnering for this year’s Trunk or Treating event on Sunday, October 29th. We will be adding some fun activities to this year’s event – including Court Street’s Prayin’ & Praisin’ Puppets and an Interactive “Thriller” Dance. Join us for the fun! We need volunteers for: Food, Trunks for Trunk or Treating, and General Helpers. The actual Trunk or Treating will be from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Those decorating trunks should arrive at 3:00.
